Grounding Meditation
Start by standing with your feet about 3 feet apart,
with your knees slightly bent so that the base of your
torso (your base charka) is pointing directly down to
the floor and your spine and upper torso are
straight.
Allow your breath to settle and bring
your focus into your body.
Now take your focus to a point of energy in the centre
of your body, about an inch and a half below your navel.
You may like to place your hands there to help you maintain
the focus. Visualize this point of energy as a small
ball of light, with a diameter about the size
of a 20 cent piece.
Let this ball of light start to glow red and feel like
it is getting hotter and hotter. You may feel like it
is warming your whole body.
Once you have the ball of light hot and red, allow
your focus to go extend to the molten core of the earth
below you. Allow a connection to occur between the red,
hot ball of energy in your body and the molten core
of the earth. Feel the heat and the energy that this
brings to your body.
Remain with this focus for a minute or so, allowing
the earth energy to circulate through your body. Feel
yourself grounding and being energized.
Remove your focus and return to normal standing position.
Repeat this exercise as often as you like.
