I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all Season’s
Greetings. I sincerely hope that the New Year will bring
you health, happiness and many wonderful experiences.
In this newsletter, I look at how energy work can assist
with a chronic illness such as cancer. There is a lovely
meditation to help shed the many masks we wear and roles
we play in life. I have also included a TFT algorithm for
developing self-esteem.
Warm wishes

I am often asked how energetic healing can assist people
suffering with chronic illness, such as cancer,
so I thought I'd mention some of the ways it can help.
The key word above is "suffering". Even if an
illness cannot be cured there are still things that can
be done to reduce the suffering being experienced,
whether it be physical pain or mental and emotional stress.
Unfortunately by the time an illness has reached "chronic"
level, it is likely to need regular and sustained
treatment over a period time in order to gain lasting
and significant benefit, although some relief is and reduction
of suffering is possible from one session.
Energetic healing is a great complement for any other treatment
or therapies a person may be having.
1. Helps to support the body following
chemo and raditation treatments and can reduce any toxic/negative
affects of these treatments and other medications (Reiki,
energy healing, TFT).
2. Works on the cancer itself (Reiki,
energy healing, TFT).
3. Works to clear any blocks, stress, trauma
that may have contributed to the physical manifestation
of the illness.
3. Reduces anxieties, fears and depression
that can accompany a chronic illness (TFT, Emotional
Stress Release, Vibrational Essences).
4. Relaxation and pain relief (Reiki,
TFT).
Depending on what is happening for the client and what they
need, I tend to use a mix of therapies. All the above, help
to maintain support the body so that it is in the best possible
state to repair and heal itself. Countering the negative
effects of toxins from things like medication and chemo
is critical in reducing the stress levels on the body, so
all energy can be focused on healing.
Even temporary pain relief that can occur with TFT is beneficial
and beats controlling pain with medication ans adding more
toxins to your system.
In other parts of the world, natural therapies are recognised
as being a beneficial complement to cancer treatment. In
fact, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth has a complementary
therapy suuport centre attached to it's oncology ward (www.scgh.health.wa.gov.au/bcsc/index.html).
We hope to see more of this starting to occur in NSW.

This meditation is designed to help us let go of illusion
and get back to a deeper level of presence. It helps in
letting go of the many projections we have of ourselves
- the career person, the parent, the partner, the victim
and all the other ways we identify ourselves.
It can be very freeing and powerful, but needs to be practised
every day for 3 weeks and then on an 'as needs' basis. You
only need 5-10 minutes a day when you first wake up, so
it's a great way to start the New Year! Obviously, you can
spend longer doing it, if you wish.

Are you feeling blocked or stuck or wanting
to unlock your creativity? Do you have an urge to draw,
paint or write? If so, I would recommend reading The
Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. It's a twelve
week course to guide you through the process of recovering
your creative self.
