If you suffer from jet lag when you travel, which can occur
even if you are just travelling to the other side of the
country, here are some tools you can try to alleviate it.
Flower Essences
Included in the Australian Bush Flower
Essences combination remedies range is one especially
designed to help with problems with jet travel. 'Travel
essence' helps with disorientation, feeling drained
and depleted and other emotional effects of travel. It allows
you to arrive at your destination feeling balanced and ready
to go.
Shell Essences have ‘Essenshell’
Travel solution that is designed to minimise travel
discomfort, fear, time distortions and stagnant energy from
sitting in one place for long periods of time.
Kinesiology – Touch for Health
You can see me, or another kinesiology practitioner,
to perform a ‘Time of Day’
balance on you to reset your body to the desired time of
day. This is useful for travel that involves crossing time
zones, but it can also be used for shiftworkers and those
affected by changes caused by daylight saving.
Energy Grounding
Visualize yourself unhooking your energy from
the place you have left and re-grounding it in your new
destination. Imagine a column of light coming down through
your body and connecting into the earth of the place you
are travelling to. Keep your energy strongly connected into
the earth and feel the earth energy coming back up through
your body.
TFT (Thought Field Therapy)
Below are two commonly used sequences in TFT
that are effective for the treatment of Jet Lag. Note they
differ depending on the direction you are flying.
For each point listed below, tap firmly 5 times with two
fingers and intentionally think about the jet lag while
you are tapping. Do the tapping every hour during your flight
(and before and after sleeping if you take a nap). Also
do it if symptoms arise once you reach your destination.
Jet Lag (West to East)
1. Tap under one eye, about an inch below your eyeball on
the top of the check bone.
2. Tap the collarbone point, located under the inside edge
of one of your collarbones.
3. Do the 9 Gamut treatments (see below)
4. Tap under one eye again.
5. Tap the collarbone point again.
6. Do a floor-to-ceiling eyeroll (see below).
Jet Lag (East to West)
1. Tap under one arm, about four inches below your
armpit.
2. Tap a collarbone point, located under the inside edge
of one of your collarbones.
3. Do the 9 Gamut treatments (see below)
4. Tap under one arm again.
5. Tap the collarbone point again.
6. Do a floor-to-ceiling eyeroll (see below).
9 Gamut Treatments
Tap the Gamut spot on the back of your hand (just above
the centre of your little finger knuckle and ring finger
knuckle) 5 times for each of the following positions:
1. Eyes open, looking straight ahead
2. Eyes closed
3. Eyes open and look down to right
4. Eyes open and look down to left
5. Whirl eyes around in one direction
6. Whirl eyes in the other direction
7. Hum a few notes
8. Count to 5 out loud
9. Hum a few notes
Floor-to-Ceiling Eyeroll
To do this: hold your head steady, look down toward the
floor with your eyes and slowly raise your eyes in a straight
line towards the ceiling whilst tapping the Gamut spot on
the back of your hand.
